Hi Laurie!
I hate getting “thank you” emails. I know some people feel it is rude to not thank someone, but multiply that by 50x a day, and it adds up to a lot of wasted time.
Chalk this one up to my English major background, but correspondents lose major cred points with me when things are misspelled. Check the spelling before the email goes out; it’s common courtesy.
Hi Laurie
This is not necessarily a faux pas, but is so annoying, the message goes something like this: “If you don’t forward on to 12 other people, you could die tomorrow”… type of message. Though, this example is a little extreme, the message always makes you feel guilty. I delete them right away, to my personal peril. I don’t have time for these, and usually don’t appreciate receiving them.
People who reply to an email when they are blind copied. It is easy to miss and most people are not used to being “bcc’d”, but there can be a reason for it. The good news is that the recipients rarely figure or care to check out how the person bcc’d replied.
